Learned tonight while Mary Poppins brigade fought Lord Voldemort for the souls of British children:
My supervisor’s age-appropriate children do not read or watch Harry Potter.
Generally speaking, only boring people and those weird people who think its a gateway into the occult and satanism don’t read or watch Harry Potter.
I’m not really sure which he now falls into.
Regardless, I need neither of those in my life.

You know having been brought up in an awful fundamentalist church community, I’m oddly grateful for Harry Potter. It was the first thing I argued in favour of against the religious hierarchy and doing so helped me to learn critical thinking.
